Job Description

Who we are: Established in 1926, Mutual Trading Co., Inc. was originally a small co-op organization for centralized purchasing of basic import foods to service the needs of the early Japanese immigrant society in Southern California. We've grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as "Culinary Ambassador" promoting Japanese foods worldwide. Currently, we import, manufacture, and distribute over 8,000 Japanese foods, beverages, restaurant equipment and supplies.   • 5PM Essential Job Functions Act as initial contact for all internal technical support required for computer workstation hardware and software, telephone, network, operating system, printing, and internet access problems Escalate the issue and communicate with vendors for solution when necessary Perform installs, upgrade, moves, and changes for computer workstation hardware and software, printers, and other peripherals.
Coordinate with vendors to update, maintain, and repair hardware, phone operating system, and network to ensure optimal performance Identify and order necessary equipment and components to ensure smooth Company operations Maintain records, logs and reports of assistance Manage IT asset inventory and asset tags Manage and maintain Company software applications including user credentials, master files, backup files, and logs Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours Other duties as required from manager Obligation to answer to all management as requested Physical Requirements Ability to sit for a majority of the working day Ability to type on the computer for extended periods of time Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds on occasion

  • Read/write/speak/listen Basic level Japanese preferred
  • Read/write/speak/listen Ability to work independently and as a team Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload Associate s Degree or above required. Bachelor s Degree in information technology or other related field preferred 3
