Job Description

Job Summary Under the direction of the Information Technology Services Director, the Technology Specialist I provides first-level technical support and repair services, with a primary focus on Chromebooks and other student devices across a TK-8 school district. This role includes basic troubleshooting and support for desktop PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment. Requirements /
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems. Strong customer service and organizational skills.
Skills:
Ability to diagnose and repair mobile student devices and Windows-based systems.
Experience:
Experience with Chromebook and PC repair and troubleshooting is preferred. Condition of Employment 1. Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel between district sites. 2. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. 3. This position has a probationary period of six months.
