Groton/ London, CT Position Overview:
Seeking a Field Engineer 3/Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for desktop and laptop systems, printers, networking equipment, software, and low-end servers. This role involves installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, hardware replacement, software deployment, and customer support in a government environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, diagnose, maintain, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues. Install and maintain PCs, servers, networks, and associated software. Perform PC imaging, operating system reloads, and software installations. Replace disks on enterprise storage products. Support legacy hardware and server products. Perform equipment installations, moves, adds, and changes. Test and certify PCs, servers, networks, and approved applications. Update and manage incident and service request tickets. Escalate unresolved issues as appropriate. Deliver excellent customer service while meeting service level agreements. Maintain professionalism in appearance and communication.
Required Qualifications:
1-3 years of desktop or computer support experience. Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills. Experience supporting desktop and laptop computers. Strong organizational and customer service skills. Ability to work independently in an onsite support environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
CompTIA A+, Security+, Apple, Dell, or similar certifications. Experience with ticket management systems. Experience deploying and configuring iOS, Android, or other mobile devices. Experience with software deployment and troubleshooting. Experience with hardware deployment and troubleshooting. Hardware repair experience. Experience supporting network devices and low-end servers.
Schedule:
Split Shift (Required) 20 Hours on Weekdays 20 Hours on
Weekends Employment Requirements:
