ASAP Building Tech Support GR 5-12 Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the Director of Technology, to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all assigned district hardware/software systems. Essential Performance Responsibilities Assist district staff and students with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of hardware and software Offer daily operations and systems support to staff and students Verify functionality of hardware and software components Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone Assist staff and students with hardware/software problems and answer their questions Track inventory and work progress in district helpdesk/asset management software Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned. Equipment Uses personal computers, scanners, printers and related equipment. Travel Requirements Travel to school district locations to repair hardware, install software and assist end users. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal skills Patience and a genuine interest in helping people Ability to excel as part of a team Interest and passion for technology Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with PC, laptop, and/or tablet computer hardware Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards Works in standard office and school building environments. Qualifications Profile Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School diploma. Industry certifications preferred (CompTIA, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Cisco) Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
