Junior Network Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a Junior Network Technician.

Summary:

The Junior Network Technician will support the day-to-day operations of our network infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is looking to build hands-on experience with networking technologies, troubleshooting, and enterprise environments.

Duties Include:

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining network systems, including LAN/WAN environments
• Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points)
• Respond to and resolve basic network connectivity issues
• Escalate more complex issues to senior network engineers as needed
• Assist with network upgrades, patching, and equipment replacements
• Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps
• Support end users with network-related inquiries and connectivity issues
• Participate in routine system checks and performance monitoring

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
