Position Summary:
NC2 Technician is an Entry-Level Network Operations support position. They must be able to work in a very strong team environment, have excellent documentation skills, able to work on multiple shifts, and have a strong desire to learn.Growth Path:
This position transitions well into a position with NC2 Tier 2, Sr. Technician, and NetWolves System Engineering associate. The skills developed in this role also translate well into project management, cooperate IT, sales engineering, analytics, and management opportunities. Keys toSuccess:
Ability to utilize the different NOC resources (Solarwinds, SRM2, Portals, and various Networking Tools) and networking concepts to assist in analyzing, documenting, and delivering appropriate action based on operating procedures.Requirements:
Basic understanding of network technology concepts is required. A+, Net+ level skills preferred. Candidates will receive on the job training for most of the position requirements.- Understanding of the OSI Model layers 1-4.
- Basic understanding of routing and switching.
- Basic understanding of IP addressing (version 4 & 6).
- Previous experience using monitoring applications is a plus.
