Job Description
We are seeking a Customer Engineer for a contract position of 6+ months in Kensteaw, Georgia. This role offers hands-on technical support and infrastructure management in an onsite environment. Responsibilities Provide hands-on support for mobile devices, including Samsung and Apple tablets, and configure mobile device management (MDM) solutions Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PCs, thin clients, and related hardware; diagnose and resolve hardware and software conflicts Install hardware and peripheral components such as memory, circuit boards, disk and CD-ROM drives, and backup devices Load and install software packages including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and other pre-approved applications; install approved system images on PCs Assist with managing and creating group policies and associated scripts related to PC usage Provide technical assistance and end-user training on computer operating systems and approved applications Evaluate and test new technologies for feasibility and potential implementation within the organization Administer local area network (LAN) infrastructure including switches and routers Maintain and configure shared network printers and personal printers Document support tickets and track issues using ServiceNow ticketing system Provide technical support and consultation for IT projects and initiatives as needed Participate in after-hours support via cell phone as necessary to meet agreed-upon service levels Contact and coordinate with approved vendors for technical support escalation Qualifications Required Ability to commute to and work onsite daily in Kennesaw, Georgia Hands-on experience with PC, thin client, and hardware troubleshooting and repair Experience with mobile device support (Samsung and Apple tablets) and MDM configuration Experience with software installation, configuration, and image deployment Knowledge of LAN administration, network switches, routers, and printer configuration Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow Clear English spoken and written communication skills Strong customer-facing skills with a professional demeanor and commitment to end-user satisfaction Preferred Relevant technical certifications
