We import fruits and vegetables from all over the world and distribute these products to local markets. We are currently hiring for an Information Technology Support/ Helpdesk for our Chicago location. The Information Technology Support/Helpdesk is responsible for providing internal technical support, resolving issues via phone, email and in person. 1st Shift
  • 10:00AM
  • 6:00PM; Monday
  • Friday on-site.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for end users and provide technical assistance. Configure and support devices such as workstations, mobile phones, remote terminals, laptops and desk phones. Maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users' utilization of them. Knowledge of operating systems and of the application software used to provide high levels of support to users. Install new software applications or hardware, coordinating assistance from system admins when necessary. Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users and maintain adequate inventory of IT supplies. Maintain all computer and printer equipment; arrange service when necessary. Add and maintain users on the network; assign application access, ensure security, and maintain their configurations within standards. Perform all duties in accordance with policies. Troubleshot network and Internet issues as they arise. Escalate problems to next level support for further diagnosis. Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Availability to work on-site 5 days per week. (no remote option) Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across departments. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of M365. Basic understanding of network topology, including common network devices and troubleshooting principles. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or coursework in IT-related fields are a plus.
