Active Secret Clearance Active CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) Certification or equivalent IAT Level II Certification A few years of basic networking troubleshooting in a professional environment/military. Resume needs to have some details about their relevant experience(routers, switches, monitoring tools, networking protocols, etc.). Team supports Cisco/Juniper but also optical/transport environments. Candidates need to have Cisco routing/switching and open to learning the rest, any optical/transport background is a plus but not required Experience/knowledge using network monitoring tools 24 x 7 team so need to be open to working all shifts: Day Shift (7 AM
- 3 PM), Middle Shift (3 PM
- 11 PM), and Night (Swing) 11 PM
- 7 AM shifts. Training will last 3 to 4 months, depending on how long it takes all the access to get set up. During that time will be on a Monday through Friday 7 AM to 3 PM day shift. Once training is over, will be placed onto either a Sunday
- Thursday or Tuesday
- Saturday schedule.
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented NOC (Network Operations Center) Technicians to join our dynamic IT support team. In this vital role, you will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain our organization's network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across all systems. Your proactive approach will help prevent issues before they impact users, while your technical expertise will resolve complex problems swiftly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, supporting a wide range of IT infrastructure components including hardware, software, and network systems. Responsibilities Monitor network performance and security alerts using help desk systems and network management tools to identify and resolve issues promptly. Provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals across various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. Troubleshoot hardware problems related to computer hardware, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network equipment. Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory management and GPO (Group Policy Objects) to ensure secure access controls. Assist with software troubleshooting including operating system issues, application errors, DNS configurations, TCP/IP settings, and VPN connectivity. Conduct network troubleshooting involving LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), TCP/IP protocols, DNS resolution, and firewall configurations. Maintain detailed customer support ticket records using Jira or similar ticket management systems while providing excellent customer service through clear communication skills. Support IT infrastructure by analyzing system logs and performance metrics to optimize network reliability and security. Qualifications Proven experience in technical support roles with a strong understanding of help desk systems and customer service principles. Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as
LAN/WAN, TCP/IP
protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls, and TCP troubleshooting. Proficiency in Windows support including Active Directory management, GPO configuration, Windows OS troubleshooting, and computer management tools. Experience supporting macOS and Linux operating systems along with hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Strong analysis skills to diagnose complex issues quickly and accurately across diverse IT environments. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and assist end-users with technical challenges. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of IT support tools such as Jira for ticket tracking and help desk management platforms is preferred.
