ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plans and integrates new technologies within a large network environment. Designs and implements healthcare network solutions to meet customer requirements. Requires network impact analysis, modeling, network capacity planning, software/hardware device upgrades, and LAN equipment configurations/provisioning. Monitors and maintains the healthcare network infrastructure. Trains and mentors other IT staff members. Trains and presents technical material to others, including leadership. Works with vendors on product design enhancements to integrate new technologies. Manages network / systems security, implements policies, processes

PCI, HIPAA

compliance. Develops and maintains appropriate network documentation and diagrams. Resolves network issues in a timely manner. Performs other position related duties as assigned. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

Cisco Certifications - CCNP CCDP preferred.

Understands end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns. Knowledge of Wide Area Network technology provisioning and configuration, and WAN equipment configurations.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 3-7

years related experience required including Network Design.
