Perry Township Education Center Hardware Technician II Position Purpose Provides top level support, repair, and installation for end user environments.
Essential Functions :
Repairs physically damaged devices Designs and implements repair procedures for interactive boards, printers, desktop computers, sound systems, etc Troubleshooting power and cabling related issues Installs fixed equipment in classrooms, including cabling needs Completes warranty claims Independently sets up and maintains equipment for District special events Work within the Technology Services team to ensure needs are met Communicate issues and needs to Assistant Technology Director Efficiently use work order systems and complete other Data Entry Equipment Uses standard office equipment such as personal computer, copy machine and fax machines, and telephone. Travel Requirements Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Rate of Pay $22.05 per hour Work Schedule 8 hours per day. 260 days per year. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Evidence of service-minded work ethic Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality History of punctuality and dependability in work setting Ability to work within various project deadlines and multi-task accordingly Familiarity with business office procedures Effective and professional oral and written communication Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner with Central Office Administrators, Building Principals and staff and all stakeholders Work collaboratively with individuals and groups Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards Seldom = Less than 25% Occasional = 26 to 50% Often = 51 to 75% Very Frequent = Greater than 75% Physical Requirement Percentage of Time Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Occasional Ability to lift 25 pounds. Frequent Ability to carry 25 pounds. Frequent Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations. Occasional Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter. Frequent Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation. Very Frequent Ability to operate job-related equipment. Very Frequent Ability to reach in all directions. Frequent License/ Registration/ Certification Prefer cabling certification or willingness to obtain Education High School Diploma or GED Minimum of Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience Experience Previous experience with technology repair
