General Summary:
This position includes end user support, routine technology maintenance, and technology team project and device implementations. The fundamentals of this position is to aid in the ongoing support of students, teachers and staff using technology in K-12 computer labs and classrooms.
Essential Functions:
Building Technology Support Acts as a technical resource in assisting users both staff and students, to resolve problems with school assigned technology Utilizes the Technology Ticketing system for exchange of information and advice; implements solutions or notifies Technology Support Manager of escalated Initializes and completes technology support Makes recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions, and prepares Provides training to system users on new systems or modification to current systems Software Support Installs/maintains/troubleshoots operating systems and software, across multiple platforms - Windows, Apple Assists users in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and educational Troubleshoot issues with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, operating system, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems. Network Wiring Installs / terminates / troubleshoots Terminates fiber optic Hardware and Peripheral Support Installs, assembles, configures, and supports desktop computers, and Installs, confitures, and supports peripherals such as printers, scanners, monitors, projectors, interactive touch panels, and other classroom related equipment. Configures, and supports staff and student iPads for classroom Assist with inventory of technology All duties as assigned by
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D General Knowledge of computers General Knowledge of related mobile devices Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Ability to solve independently most minor problems Ability to travel between multiple school buildings
Length of Position:
Monday-Friday throughout the school year for a total of 52 20 hours per week
