Job Description
Nex-Tech is seeking a Network Operations Technician to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems supporting internet, voice, and data services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring network reliability and service quality. This position is ideal for someone with technical aptitude who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Monitor network systems to ensure stability and performance
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages across multiple systems
- Maintain routers, switches, and network management systems
- Assist with network security and firewall support
- Support enterprise customer network environments
- Manage and document IP addressing and network configurations
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve network issues
- Assist with infrastructure maintenance and improvements
What You Bring:
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with routers, switches, and network systems
- Basic understanding of network security concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Education & Experience:
