To Be Determined Job Description Context Catholic Memorial is a college preparatory school for boys founded in the spirit of Blessed Edmund Rice and guided by the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brothers Education. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Information Technology this position will help manage and maintain the current technology environment. It will also advance the effective and efficient integration of academic and administrative technology throughout the school. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with all members of the school community and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for new and emerging technology. They should also be highly motivated and self-directed, possess superior problem-solving skills, be open to coaching and mentoring, and preferably have experience in an academic setting Essential Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming requests for technology assistance from all members of the Catholic Memorial community in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with computers, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Supports faculty, students and staff in their use of educational/audiovisual technology for instruction. The environment includes classroom, but it may also include labs, larger venue settings, assemblies, events, on-line training and videoconferencing.
  • Assist with the successful integration of hardware, software and other technology resources in support of teaching, learning, and administrative operations.
  • Hours will be 7:30-4:00 pm Monday through Friday, along with nights and weekends as required.
Other Responsibilities:
Over time, at the Direction of Information Technology, this candidate may have opportunities to explore professional development in other areas of
IT/MIS:
  • Install, assemble, and configure computers and peripherals.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of classroom and office technology.
  • Provide first tier support for fileservers, network hardware, administrative, and academic software systems including account creation and management.
  • Utilize software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and other diagnostic tools to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Create and maintain systems documentation.
  • Create and maintain inventories of hardware, software licenses, and technology consumables.
  • Ensure data integrity by managing and maintaining system and file backups.
  • Assist with monitoring and managing system, network, and user security.
