Network Technician Morris Technology Solutions - 5.0 Worcester, MA Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Qualifications Moving Hardware maintenance Full Job Description Job Summary Morris Technology Solutions is seeking a Network Technician to support the final phase of a large scale enterprise network integration for a leading healthcare organization. This hands on role will focus on migrating devices from a legacy Cisco network to a modern Cisco enterprise infrastructure across a hospital campus. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, enjoys working with network hardware, and can work both independently and collaboratively to complete infrastructure migration activities. Key Responsibilities Support the migration of network connected devices from a legacy Cisco network to a new enterprise Cisco infrastructure. Migrate devices including computers, printers, badge readers, security cameras, and other network connected equipment. Remove and replace patch cables between switches and patch panels as part of network migration activities. Support the decommissioning and removal of legacy network hardware. Assist with physical network infrastructure tasks within IT closets and equipment rooms. Follow migration plans, project documentation, and established procedures to ensure successful cutovers. Document completed work and communicate project progress with the technical team. Maintain an organized and safe work environment while performing onsite infrastructure work. Required Qualifications 1 to 3 years of experience in networking, IT infrastructure, desktop support, or a related technical role. Basic understanding of networking concepts including switches, structured cabling, patch panels, and TCP/IP. Experience working with network hardware in an enterprise environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members. Ability to lift and move network equipment and work within IT closets as needed. Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting network migration, infrastructure refresh, or hardware deployment projects. Experience working with Cisco networking equipment, including Catalyst switches. Familiarity with enterprise healthcare or large campus environments. Associate's degree or technical training in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
