Friday, October 16, 2026 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated individual who will facilitate student digital literacy programs and collaborate with teachers to enhance students' technology skills in alignment with state standards and responsible digital citizenship guidelines. Will partner with district technology department to provide technical support, troubleshooting and minor repairs for hardware, software, network connectivity and A/V equipment.
Qualifications:
1. High school graduate with some college or technology training preferred. 2. Values education and the importance of student learning. 3. Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid all students. 4. Experienced in working with children. 5. Will participate in ongoing training (such as Google Certification) and staff development to keep up with trends in technology. 6. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals. 7. Demonstrates ability to communicate with peers successfully and possesses multitasking ability and strong communication/interpersonal skills. 8. Coordinates with staff to provide technology support and training for the purpose of improving technology skills and usage. 9. Requires that the person be of high integrity and possess initiative and resourcefulness. 10. Shall be neat in appearance and enjoy working in a child-centered atmosphere. 11. Shall be courteous, efficient, and willing to accept responsibility as well as suggestions. 12. Has good health, high moral characters, and good attendance record. 13. Appropriate State of Ohio certification/permit.
General Description:
Facilitates the digital literacy program to students. To assist students and staff to repair, troubleshoot, and give aid/support of the effective use of computer hardware, software, and applications.
Essential Functions:
1. Facilitates the digital literacy program to students 2. Coordinates with teachers to enhance the digital literacy skills of students 3. Promotes and maintains appropriate conduct of students during digital literacy 4. Will be familiar with the state technology standards 5. Coordinates with the district technology department to help students and staff to troubleshoot computer, Chromebook, printer, A/V display, network connectivity and telecommunications problems, educational software, online applications, and minor technology repairs 6. Provides technology support and training for the purpose of improving technology skills and usage 7. Remain current in the technology profession by attending workshops/seminars 8. Be a resource person in the ethical use of computers including copyright laws 9. Attends staff and technology meetings as required 10. Comply with policies of the
Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local School District Board of Education Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings 2. Helps instill in students the belief in and practice, of ethical principles and democratic values 3. Conducts other duties related to the specialist's duties as assigned by the supervisors
