Technologies Support Technician About Us:
SPIRE Institute & Academy (IA) is a comprehensive academic, athletic, personal skills and career development experience located within a world class event and wellness complex. Constructed on nearly 500 acres with more than 750,000 sq. ft. under roof, SPIRE encompasses four divisions: SPIRE Academy, an accredited college preparatory international boarding school and multi-sport/specialty training and development academy for 9-12 graders and a post grad program; SPIRE Institute, the research and development arm studying performance improvement across multiple disciplines; SPIRE Events, a facility and team that hosts local, national and international tournaments and events with the NCAA, the Big East, Big Ten and Atlantic 10 conferences, Olympic trials and world championship qualifiers; and SPIRE Fit, a community membership-based fitness, swim and health center open to the public. Sports currently featured on campus include swimming, track and field, basketball, esports, drone racing, wrestling and lacrosse.
Overview:
Provides technical expertise and manual skill in the installation, servicing, and repair of the Company owned technology equipment.
Essential Functions:
Respond to helpdesk tickets promptly and provide effective solutions to end-users. Assist users in resolving a variety of IT issues, including but not limited to computers, phones, networking, printing, email, and password resets. Work on diverse projects, such as camera installations, running network cables, testing, labeling, and organizing network closets, etc. Set up and maintain IT and audio systems across the campus. Ensure the operational efficiency of IT systems during events, responding promptly to any issues that may arise.
Additional Skills and Requirements:
Basic technology competence. Strong interest in IT with a desire to learn and grow in the field. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Capability to differentiate colors, particularly in cabling work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry technology equipment (computers, printers, etc) up to 55lbs short distances occasionally. Ability to reach with hands and arms; bend, kneel, crouch and climb ladders.
Compensation :
