Location:
Raleigh, NC XenTegra ONE is seeking a motivated Junior Network & IT Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This position is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys solving technical problems, learning from experienced engineers, and building strong relationships with clients. This role is primarily dedicated to supporting one o f XenTegra's managed services clients on-site while also serving as a member of our broader Managed Services team. You will act as the client's trusted day-to-day technical resource while leveraging the expertise of XenTegra's Service Desk, Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Security specialists. When client demands allow, you will also assist with support requests and projects for other managed services customers, providing exposure to a wide variety of technologies and environments. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site technical resource for an assigned managed service client Provide exceptional customer service while building trusted relationships with client staff and leadership. Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity issues. Coordinate with XenTegra's Service Desk and Engineering, teams to resolve escalated issues and deliver projects Take ownership of incidents from initial response through successful resolution. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including user account provisioning, workstation deployments, and equipment setup. Maintain accurate inventory of client hardware, software, and technology assets. Perform routine administrative tasks including software installations, password resets, patch verification, and endpoint health checks. Support Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, and basic identity management. Assist with conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, and office technology. Verify the health of backup, endpoint protection, monitoring, and managed security solutions. Participate in infrastructure upgrades including firewall deployments, switch replacements, wireless improvements, server installations, and office expansions. Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, asset inventories, client procedures, and technical standards. When available, provide remote or on-site assistance t o other XenTegra managed services clients. Participate in technical training and mentorship opportunities to expand networking, cloud, virtualization, and cybersecurity knowledge. Desired Skills & Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of:
TCP/IP networking DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and wireless networking Windows 10/11 administration Microsoft 365 administration Endpoint troubleshooting Printer and peripheral support Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across client environments. Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within a Managed Services Organization. Preferred Qualifications CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ Experience with o r exposure to: Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) platforms Professional Services Automation (PSA) or ticketing systems Microsoft Intune o r endpoint management Firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure Backup and disaster recovery solutions Cybersecurity best practices VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or Citrix technologies (a plus) engineers delivering enterprise-class I T solutions across a diverse client base. You'll receive mentorship, gain exposure to modern infrastructure, cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity technologies, and have a defined path for technical and professional growth.
