We are currently seeking a Technology Support Specialist who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting. The Technology Support Specialist coordinates the secure, productive, and effective use of technology in the facility. They provide hardware and software technical support to users of personal computers and associated equipment. Also they will coordinate technology services, maintenance, and training throughout the facility. Ensure information technology resources (computer hardware, network and operating systems software and telecommunications hardware) function properly and are maintained in good operating condition. Provide hardware and software technical support to users of personal computers and associated equipment. Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on personal computers and related equipment. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, LAN and WAN equipment, PC's, laptops, telecom equipment, key control devices, various software and peripherals. Analyze the need for new computer equipment; analyzes equipment for quality, compatibility, reliability and suitability to the institution's needs. Provide configuration requirements for new computer acquisitions, recommends methods of using existing equipment to satisfy new requirements and performs benchmark tests of proposed new equipment. Ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
