Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Perform on-site technical support work, primarily at one or two assigned campuses, to install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer equipment, network and software applications, and other classroom technologies in the district. Provide excellent customer service for staff and students.Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED Associates degree and/or technical certifications is a plusSpecial Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of Windows, Chrome, Mac, and iOS usage, troubleshooting, and support Knowledge of computer hardware and common software applications Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals Basic understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP and wireless Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Knowledge of document cameras, projectors and other classroom technologies Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skillsExperience:
One year of work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and peripherals is preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:
Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and support various MWISD-issued or network installed equipment, software programs, and classroom technology throughout the district. Use technology help desk ticket system to track and document support progress and resolution. Assist with creating and updating departmental documentation. Participate in projects and rollouts as needed. Participate in department meetings and communications. Follow district and department processes, policies, and procedures. Other Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.Equipment Used:
Hand tools, electronic tools for diagnosing issues. Laptops, personal computers, and peripherals.Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; frequent district-wide travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day. Ability to lift and move computers or other equipment.Similar remote jobs
