Primary Purpose:
Support the Professional Learning Department with daily operations of the team and district. Provide technical support for the Professional Learning Department and Sockwell Center. Aid vendors and PISD staff as needed during training activities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of networks and various technology applications Basic knowledge of computers and related technologies Troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities Self-motivated and directed Ability to follow task through to completion Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to execute written employment contract with
Plano ISD Experience:
Experience with district networks, computers, printers and all technology functioning for staff Working knowledge of networks and administrative functions of networks Basic skills in hardware and network troubleshooting Basic skills in software and data file installation Experience in organizing and supporting events
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain and provide technical support for the Professional Learning Department and Sockwell Center Support and contribute to the department processes and initiatives of the District Monitor Sockwell Center reservations requests on a weekly and daily basis and work with the Sockwell Center receptionist to ensure building is ready for those reservations Provide on-site support for Sockwell Center training labs, including lab setup Prepare training labs, including installation of district approved software, for in-services and/or meetings Work with district employees, community partners and external vendors to help facilitate in-services and meetings Troubleshoot hardware, software, infrastructure and related technologies for the Professional Learning Department and Sockwell Center Coordinate room setups and equipment with PISD departments and contracted custodial vendors as needed Communicate with, update, and train substitute CTAs on equipment, software and/or programmatic changes Be accountable for timely, accurate performance Respect and maintain confidentiality of PISD private information (principal's meetings, etc.) records, files, programs, or other information protected by PISD or State and Federal laws Attend conferences and workshops to keep skills updated Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from superiors Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor
