Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in computer systems, networking, and technical support, and be ready to contribute from day one. This position requires a professional who can quickly diagnose and resolve a wide range of IT issues while maintaining the highest standard of customer service. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Install and run communications cabling (coax, Ethernet, and other media) for residential and commercial clients. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues with minimal supervision. Diagnose and repair computer hardware, including component replacements. Utilize a CRM and Ticketing system to document, track, and resolve support requests. Collaborate with team members on IT projects, system upgrades, and deployments. Perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability. Deliver excellent customer service by guiding users through troubleshooting steps clearly and effectively. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Must hold a CompTIA Network+ certification (or an equivalent networking certification) obtained or renewed within the last 5 years. Proven experience in IT support with the ability to immediately take ownership of issues and resolve them independently. Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Strong customer service skills with a commitment to user satisfaction. Experience working with residential and commercial networking systems. Full knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with common technical support practices, tools, and ticketing systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Probationary Period This position includes a 60-day probationary period. During this time, either party may choose to end employment if performance or fit does not meet expectations. Successful completion of this period will transition the employee into a permanent role.
