Since 1993, Wisconsin businesses have trusted us to solve problems, respond quickly, and take ownership from start to finish. We call that Soldier On Service . We are a veteran-owned technology company providing IT and network support, structured cabling, business phones, security cameras, access control, wireless, print, and other technology solutions. Because we work across so many areas of technology, our technicians get the opportunity to learn, grow, and work on more than one type of system. We are looking for a Network Technician who enjoys working with technology, solving problems, and helping customers get back to business. What You'll Do This is a hands-on role that includes both remote support and onsite work at customer locations. You will help install, troubleshoot, maintain, and support the networks and connected technology our customers rely on every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks. Work with switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network equipment. Troubleshoot internet, network, connectivity, and performance issues. Configure and support LANs, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, and basic firewall settings. Install and replace network hardware at customer locations. Assist with wireless access point installation and troubleshooting. Support network-connected security cameras and access control systems. Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain IP cameras. Troubleshoot analog phone lines and install and configure ATAs. Assist with VoIP phones and other network-connected phone equipment. Test and troubleshoot Ethernet and fiber cabling. Assist our cabling team with network-related installation work when needed. Work with our IT, phone, cabling, and security teams to solve customer issues. Provide remote and onsite technical support. Communicate clearly with customers about the problem, what you're doing, and what happens next. Document work completed and technical information. Escalate issues when needed and work with the rest of the team to reach a solution. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who has a strong technical foundation but also understands that customer service is part of the job. You should be comfortable troubleshooting, learning new systems, and working directly with customers.
Qualifications include:
1-2+ years of experience in networking, IT support, field service, or a related technical role. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Ubiquiti, Aruba, or similar networking equipment is preferred. Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, switching, and basic firewall configuration . Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity, cabling, hardware, and wireless issues. Comfortable working with computers, network hardware, phones, cameras, and other connected technology. Comfortable using hand tools and working in customer environments. Able to climb ladders as needed for cameras, access points, and other equipment. Able to work independently while also being part of a team. Strong communication skills when working with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Willingness to learn new technologies and take on different types of technical work. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications are a plus, but they are not required. Hands-on experience, troubleshooting ability, attitude, and willingness to learn matter just as much to us. The Kind of Person Who Does Well Here You don't have to know everything walking in the door. You do need to be curious, dependable, and willing to figure things out. At TriTech, you may work on a wireless issue in the morning, install network equipment in the afternoon, and help troubleshoot a camera or phone system before the day is over. If you like variety and don't want to be stuck doing the exact same thing every day, this may be a good fit. Our customers call us when something isn't working. We want someone who takes ownership, communicates well, and stays with the problem until there is a path forward. That's what Soldier On Service means to us.
