Job Description

About TRIBUS Group Founded in 2009, TRIBUS Group serves as one the largest provider of software to real estate MLSs and associations in the US. More than 500,000 agents login to our platforms each day. We're rapidly expanding our team in our Denver, CO office. ## About the Role We're looking for a Product Owner who lives at the intersection of design and product strategy. This role owns the design-driven product backlog for our website and platform experiences — translating vision and user needs into polished, well-specified work using
  • Figma
  • and
  • Claude Design
•. You'll be the bridge between business strategy, customer needs, and the development team, ensuring every shipped experience is not just functional, but genuinely well-designed.
This is a hands-on role:
you won't just write requirements, you'll actively prototype, critique, and refine designs in Figma & Claude Design alongside designers and engineers, then own the backlog that turns those designs into shipped product. ## I. Vision & Strategy
  • Define and evangelize the product's design vision — the "why" behind the experience, its long-term direction, and how it aligns with company strategy. Communicate this clearly to stakeholders and the development team.
  • Develop and maintain a design-forward product roadmap, sequencing key features, releases, and design initiatives based on market trends, user needs, and business objectives.
  • Conduct market and competitive research, with a specific eye on design trends, interaction patterns, and emerging tools in the web/UX landscape.
  • Deeply understand target users — their workflows, pain points, goals, and expectations for a well-designed digital experience. ## II. Design & Backlog Ownership
  • Own the CMS/product backlog, including design-related work: mockups, prototypes, design specs, and UI/UX tickets — ensuring it's the single source of truth for design and development work.
  • Build and iterate on prototypes and mockups directly in
  • Figma
  • and
  • Claude Design
  • , translating high-level concepts into concrete, testable design artifacts.
  • Create and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria, including visual/interaction specifications derived from Figma files, so design intent survives the handoff to engineering.
  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, design quality, technical feasibility, risk, and dependencies.
  • Ensure design and backlog items are "ready" — sufficiently detailed, reviewed, and approved before entering a sprint.
  • Manage design dependencies across teams (design system, front-end, other product squads) to minimize roadblocks. ## III. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for design
  • and product-related inquiries from internal (sales, marketing, support, leadership) and external (customers, partners) stakeholders.
  • Present design concepts, prototypes, and progress — using Figma and Claude Design artifacts — to communicate direction clearly to non-design audiences.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from customer support, sales, user testing, and analytics to inform design and product decisions.
  • Facilitate design workshops and critique sessions to gather requirements, validate concepts, and align stakeholders around a direction.
  • Manage competing priorities and expectations among stakeholders, balancing design quality against timeline and scope. ## IV. Development Team Collaboration
  • Act as the voice of the customer and the champion of design quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Be available to the development team to clarify design intent, answer questions, and make timely decisions on backlog items.
  • Actively participate in refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Review completed work against both functional acceptance criteria and design fidelity (comparing shipped work to the Figma/Claude Design source of truth) before accepting.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between design, product, and engineering. ## V. Product & Design Performance
  • Define and track KPIs relevant to design quality and product success — engagement, conversion, usability metrics, load speed, accessibility compliance, and SEO performance.
  • Analyze usage data and A/B test results to identify where design changes could improve outcomes.
  • Monitor user feedback and support tickets for recurring usability or design issues.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve usability, visual quality, and overall experience.
  • Support product launches and post-launch design iteration in partnership with marketing and sales. ## VI. Domain Expertise
  • Hands-on proficiency with Figma
  • (prototyping, components, design systems, developer handoff) and
  • Claude Design
  • for rapid concepting, mockups, and iteration using our design systems.
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies relevant to design handoff/
  • Strong grounding in UX/UI principles — information architecture, interaction design, visual hierarchy, and accessibility (WCAG) and a11y based design frameworks.
  • Awareness of performance, security, and scalability considerations as they intersect with design decisions. ## Requirements
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role with significant design ownership.
  • Demonstrated portfolio or work history showing hands-on use of Figma; familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (Claude Design or similar) is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating design intent across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Based in or willing to work from our
  • Denver, CO
  • office during normal business hours. ## Nice to Have
  • Background in real estate technology, MLS platforms, or B2B SaaS.
  • Experience with design systems and Figma component libraries at scale.
  • Familiarity with agile/Scrum ceremonies and backlog tools, or any experience in a software factory / high speed prototype to launch enterprise.
