Job Description

- The Classified Automation & Deployment team develops tools and services that enable Space application teams to package, automate, and deploy applications across classified and unclassified environments at scale.
- Provide vision and serve as a champion of stakeholder perspectives to the team in the form of clearly written requirements and working in collaboration with the team to size the work with clear acceptance criteria
- Serve as the voice of the product, translating strategic goals into business requirements, facilitating product design, and championing product launches
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Space executives, application development teams, Program leadership, and classified system admins to define, prioritize, and deliver product enhancements and solutions to optimize the team's capabilities
- Align product with company strategy and Business Area priorities
- Establish, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap and its backlog in collaboration with the Scrum Master and development team
- Lead product release planning with technical and business stakeholders and set expectations for delivery of new capabilities
- Gather and manage the requirements for product bug fixes, features, and larger-scale initiatives from concept to release
- Manage, maintain, and groom the Product Backlog, including prioritization of features and stories for Planning Increments and Sprint Planning
- Create the Acceptance Criteria for each feature and story assigned to the team and sign-off on completed work
- Represent the voice of the customer during PI Planning, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Demos
- Act as a communicator, coordinator, and advocate for product priorities Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
- Basic Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven success as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role supporting technical products.
- Working knowledge of Agile software development practices, including Scrum, SAFe, or comparable methodologies.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift) and automation platforms such as RunDeck, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with software engineering teams to translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Proven ability to manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as business needs require.
- Desired Skills
- Background supporting enterprise automation, DevSecOps, infrastructure, platform engineering, or cloud-native products.
- Familiarity with GitOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Helm chart packaging.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage customer feedback, operational metrics, and data to drive product roadmap prioritization.
- Proven success planning and coordinating product releases, feature rollouts, user training, and organizational adoption.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority.
- Knowledge of modern software architecture, DevOps, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present product vision, roadmap updates, and technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and lead initiatives with minimal direction.
