Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
Kforce's client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support two mature Agile teams focused on consumer lending and home improvement financing products. These teams work closely with business lines that help contractors provide financing solutions for projects such as roofing, basements, and other home improvement initiatives.
Summary:
This role is ideal for a Scrum Master who goes beyond simply facilitating ceremonies. The manager is seeking someone who can coach teams, influence Agile maturity, encourage standardization across teams, and help drive the bigger strategic picture. The right candidate will bring a strong balance of servant leadership, mentoring, conceptual thinking, and hands-on Agile execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and coach two Agile Scrum teams in a SAFe environment
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
  • Help teams improve Agile maturity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement practices
  • Mentor team members and help establish standardized Agile best practices across teams
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams
  • Remove impediments and proactively identify risks impacting delivery
  • Drive transparency through Jira dashboards, reporting, and Agile metrics
  • Facilitate healthy team dynamics, conflict resolution, and productive collaboration
  • Guide teams toward strategic thinking and alignment with broader organizational goals
  • Encourage adaptive thinking rather than rigid adherence to process
REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience supporting software development teams
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities within Agile environments
  • Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing Agile delivery processes
  • Strong conceptual, strategic, and procedural problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Jira, including dashboarding, reporting, and advanced filters
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to influence teams and promote continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Scrum Master certification(s) (PSM, CSM, or similar)
  • SAFe experience or certification
  • 5+ years of Scrum Master experience
  • Experience with Confluence
  • Banking, financial services, or lending industry experience
  • Experience supporting mature Agile teams in enterprise environments
What Will Make Someone Successful:
  • Acts as a true Agile coach rather than simply a meeting facilitator
  • Brings energy, encouragement, and strong servant leadership
  • Can influence teams toward alignment and standardization without being overly rigid
  • Helps teams connect day-to-day execution to broader business strategy
  • Comfortable mentoring others and sharing Agile best practices across the organization The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
