A Scrum Master serves as the facilitator on an Agile team, helping them to achieve their delivery goals using the Agile methodology, a product development process, most commonly used in software development that focuses on iterative improvements.
We are seeking an experienced SAP Scrum Master for a 12-month contract position based in Oakland, California. In this role, you will facilitate Agile delivery within an enterprise-scale environment, supporting

implementation or a comparable major ERP platform. Responsibilities Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, guiding them through Scrum and Kanban practices within a structured PMO environment. Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives using Jira for backlog and iteration management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and system integrator partners to manage dependencies and ensure alignment with delivery milestones. Support quarterly PI Planning and other scaled Agile framework ceremonies as needed. Apply hybrid delivery models that blend Agile and traditional project management approaches, respecting conservative PMO governance. Leverage SAP Activate methodology and traditional SAP project phases to coordinate with functional and technical teams. Coach team members on Agile principles, conflict resolution, and stakeholder communication to foster continuous improvement. Qualifications Required Five (5) or more years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise-scale Agile delivery. Experience with
SAP S/4HANA
implementation or another major ERP platform (SAP ECC, Oracle, Workday, or similar); SAP functional-team support experience is preferred over purely technical/infrastructure SAP team support. Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid delivery models operating within a structured, conservative PMO environment. Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and traditional SAP project phases. Experience in scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe), including quarterly PI Planning, and managing cross-team dependencies. Proficiency with Jira for sprint, iteration, and backlog management, plus familiarity with tools such as Confluence, MS Project, or equivalents. Excellent facilitation, coaching, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience working with system integrator partners.
