The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile delivery, remove impediments, support team collaboration, coordinate with product owners and stakeholders, and help ensure project work is delivered transparently, predictably, and in alignment with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog-refinement sessions, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release-planning activities.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain, prioritize, and refine project backlogs.
- Coach teams in Scrum and Agile principles and continuous-improvement practices.
- Identify, track, escalate, and help remove impediments affecting delivery.
- Coordinate dependencies across Agile teams, business units, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor sprint progress, commitments, risks, issues, and delivery trends.
- Maintain appropriate Agile documentation, dashboards, metrics, risk/issue logs, decisions, and action items.
- Facilitate transparent communication between delivery teams and leadership.
- Support hybrid environments in which Agile delivery must coexist with formal project-management and governance requirements.
- Help teams improve collaboration, predictability, quality, and delivery effectiveness.
- Support executive and stakeholder reporting as required. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant business, technology, public-administration, or organizational field; equivalent qualifying experience may substitute year-for-year.
- 7+ years of applicable project-management/delivery experience within the past 10 years.
- 7+ years of experience leading or coordinating cross-functional business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project experience within healthcare environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of Scrum and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience working with Product Owners, technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leadership.
- Experience with backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and dependency management.
- Strong facilitation, communication, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
- Ability to work on-site in Sacramento, California as required.
- Ability to satisfy applicable background-clearance, privacy, and security requirements. Preferred Qualifications
- Current Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, or comparable certification.
- California state-government or public-sector experience.
- Experience with complex enterprise or consumer-facing healthcare initiatives.
- Experience with organizational change, digital services, business-process improvement, or vendor coordination.
- Experience with Monday.
