  • SummaryPosition SummaryThe Business Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of mission-critical software applications within a data-driven, healthcare-related environment.

This position collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define effective solutions, and ensure the successful deployment of software products that enhance operational efficiency and improve user outcomes. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who can bridge business and technical teams, manage multiple priorities, and align solutions with organizational goals.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define both business and functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.
  • Support research efforts for complex features.
  • Create and maintain user stories with detailed acceptance criteria aligned to internal quality standards.
  • Communicate updates and approved changes to stakeholders through established governance processes.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and delivery deadlines.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Track team performance metrics such as capacity, velocity, and predictability.
  • Work with development and QA teams to refine stories and prepare for sprint execution.
  • Review test plans and validate deliverables to ensure they meet the Definition of Done.
  • Identify and help remove delivery blockers, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Take ownership of successful delivery for assigned initiatives.
  • Support the transition of solutions to support, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Assist in release planning and coordinating deployment and validation activities.
  • Collaborate on project timelines to meet delivery goals and quarterly objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including business, technical, and domain experts.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficient in writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in writing and executing test cases is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Effective collaboration skills across diverse teams.
  • Experience gathering and defining requirements for APIs (REST and/or SOAP; gRPC is a plus).
  • Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman.
  • Ability to create wireframes or mockups with tools such as Figma or Balsamiq.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Exposure to modern application environments and development practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting software development teams as a Business Analyst or in similar roles.
