Scrum Master Genesis10 life insurance, 401(k) United States, North Carolina, Charlotte May 08, 2026 Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves leading Agile teams to deliver business value by applying Scrum principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, ensuring process adherence, removing impediments, and managing project execution using Jira. This position requires strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, and project planning within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead Agile teams and apply Scrum to deliver business value Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily standup, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) Ensure correct use and adherence to the Scrum process Work with the team to remove impediments quickly Create, maintain, and execute project plans Manage governance routines, including daily/weekly meetings, tollgates, and PI preparation Execute on Enterprise Change Management requirements Facilitate communication, influence, and negotiation vertically and horizontally Integrate with project, technology, and business partners to proactively gather status Establish and maintain status templates and weekly status updates

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in Agile, including hands-on Scrum Master experience Proficiency with Jira for managing deliverables and tracking work Project management experience beyond Scrum facilitation Release Management experience Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Excellent communication, collaboration, influencing, and facilitation skills Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable reports/presentations and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences High level of credibility with executives and business partners; proven ability to influence, negotiate, and drive results Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited direction Desired skills: Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) Experience with Program Increment (PI) preparation Broader exposure to multiple Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, XP) Experience establishing supporting documentation for governance routines (e.g., playbooks, RACI, checkpoints) Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
