A Scrum Master serves as the facilitator on an Agile team, helping them to achieve their delivery goals using the Agile methodology, a product development process, most commonly used in software development that focuses on iterative improvements.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Partner with Product Owners and Engineering teams to drive sprint execution and delivery commitments. Track sprint progress, velocity, blockers, risks, dependencies, and release readiness. Maintain RAID logs, action items, and Agile delivery documentation. Support SDLC, release management, change management, and enterprise governance processes. Coordinate cross-team dependencies and escalate delivery risks or impediments. Prepare status reports and communicate delivery health to technology and business stakeholders. Support program meetings and track key Agile metrics.
Required Qualifications :
- 3-5+ years of Scrum Master, Agile Delivery, or similar technology delivery experience. Financial Services experience is
REQUIRED.
Must be local to New York. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies. Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and supporting Agile teams. Experience with RAID, risk, issue, and dependency management. Strong stakeholder communication and organizational skills. Experience working across Product, Engineering, and Business teams. Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
Preferred :
- Wealth Management, Banking, Capital Markets, or Investment Services experience. Technology modernization or digital transformation experience. SAFe experience. Enterprise release/change management experience. CSM, SSM, PMP, or related certification.
