Waypoint's client is seeking a Scrum Master to support Agile software development efforts within a mission-focused environment. This role is responsible for facilitating Agile processes, enabling team performance, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to promote Agile best practices, maintain backlog health, and drive continuous improvement across development teams.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Support and educate the Product Owner in backlog refinement, prioritization, and maintenance. Ensure Agile best practices are followed, including user stories, acceptance criteria, definition of ready, and definition of done. Remove impediments and blockers to maintain team productivity and delivery timelines. Promote continuous integration, continuous testing, and iterative development practices. Utilize tools such as JIRA and Confluence to track progress, manage workflows, and maintain documentation. Monitor team performance and provide recommendations for process improvements and optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between development efforts and mission objectives. Adapt to evolving requirements and support dynamic project environments.
Required:
Active TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance. Experience with Agile methodologies and techniques, including user stories, CI/CD, team agreements, and acceptance criteria. Experience using JIRA and Confluence. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile integration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired:
Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) certification. Experience supporting Agile teams in government or DoD environments. Experience driving process improvement initiatives across development teams.
