Job Description

Description SciTec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace, is a dynamic non-traditional defense contractor that delivers advanced technologies in support of U.S. National Security and Defense. For the past forty-five plus years, we have supported Department of Defense customers by developing innovative remote sensing algorithms, tools, and techniques to deliver world-class data exploitation capabilities supporting missile defense; intelligence, surveillance, & reconnaissance; space domain awareness; and aircraft survivability missions.

We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to facilitate and coordinate the Agile Scrum process within our organization, ensuring collaborative and efficient delivery of high-quality solutions. This role focuses on distributed systems, microservices, and real-time data pipelines, working closely with scientific and technical users in a mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem solving skills to work closely with the Product Development team ensuring Sprint commitments are delivered on schedule and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to our team - helping foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and ensuring the team is consistently meeting its objectives. Key Responsibilities Using Agile Methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions Training, mentoring, and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices Working with other Scrum Masters to plan and execute cross-team dependencie Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams improve Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team Tracking project processes, deliverables, and roadblocks Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders
