Scrum Master •This is a hybrid position - Candidates local to the Harrisburg, PA area only, please •This is a 5-month contract
Description:
The purpose of this position is to support cloud technology initiatives by coordinating Agile project activities, managing Scrum practices, and supporting communication between technical teams and business stakeholders. This position contributes to the successful delivery of cloud-related projects by tracking work progress, maintaining project documentation, supporting requirements analysis, and helping ensure project objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
Responsibilities:
Supports Agile project management activities for cloud-related initiatives and operational work by coordinating sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement sessions, operational work reviews, and other Agile ceremonies. Monitors sprint and operational work progress and assist with tracking work completion, dependencies, service requests, operational priorities, and project milestones using Agile project management and ticketing tools. Identifies and escalates project risks, impediments, blocked work items, operational concerns, and issues that may impact project schedules, cloud services, or deliverables. This role will work with Cloud Team leadership to set priorities, and coordinate cloud operational requests, support activities, maintenance efforts, and service improvement initiatives across Cloud Operations, Cloud Engineering, and Cloud Architecture teams. Works with technical teams, cloud engineers, architects, operations staff, vendors, and business stakeholders to document project scope, operational requirements, objectives, assumptions, dependencies, and deliverables. Assists with business analysis activities and prepares supporting documentation to facilitate implementation, operational readiness, and organizational change management efforts. Proven experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies (daily stand ups, spring planning, reviews, retros). Maintains project documentation, status reports, sprint artifacts, risk logs, meeting notes, dashboards, operational metrics, and project tracking systems to support visibility into project and operational performance. Prepares project updates, summaries, presentations, and other materials for leadership, stakeholders, governance meetings, and operational reviews. Deep knowledge of agile frameworks and methodologies (scrum, kanban, etc.). Facilitates communication and coordination activities among Cloud Operations, Cloud Engineering, and Cloud Architecture teams to support alignment of priorities, operational activities, project delivery objectives, and cloud service improvements. Assists with scheduling meetings, tracking action items, following up on deliverables, and communicating updates, priorities, operational impacts, and timeline changes to stakeholders and leadership. Maintains familiarity with cloud technologies, cloud operational processes, Agile methodologies, project management practices, and collaboration tools to effectively support cloud initiatives and communicate with technical stakeholders.
Skills:
Experience supporting Agile project management, Scrum delivery practices, or operational coordination activities, Required 10 Years Experience using project management, ticketing, collaboration, or work tracking tools, Required Experience supporting Agile project management, Scrum delivery practices, or operational coordination activities., Required Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Required Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), scrum principles, agile values and the ability to coach teams, Required certification such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Digital Leader, Highly desired Proper email communication will only be done to and from @astyra.com email addresses. ASTIT Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
