Job Description
Scrum Master ConsultantAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead/Scrum Master to support high-performing product and technology teams focused on delivering innovative digital solutions and enhancing customer experiences. This individual will serve as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, helping teams embrace Agile practices while driving execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is passionate about Agile delivery, thrives in complex environments, and enjoys partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to help teams deliver meaningful business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
+ Partner with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Designers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality solutions.
+ Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, reviews, and daily standups.
+ Help teams effectively translate business needs into user stories, prioritize work, and deliver value incrementally.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, accountability, and collaboration across teams.
+ Coach individuals and teams on Agile principles, frameworks, and best practices.
+ Identify and remove impediments that may impact team productivity, delivery timelines, or overall effectiveness.
+ Support planning activities, roadmap execution, dependency management, and release coordination.
+ Leverage delivery metrics and team performance indicators to drive informed decision-making and process improvements.
+ Promote strong stakeholder engagement and facilitate productive interactions between Agile teams and business partners.
+ Assist with risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution throughout the delivery lifecycle. Required Qualifications
+ Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Release Train Engineer, or similar Agile delivery leadership role.
+ Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles.
+ Demonstrated success supporting technology, digital product, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
+ Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
+ Excellent facilitation, communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
+ Ability to influence without direct authority and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous learning mindset. Desired Experience Experience with several of the following:
+ Scrum Master leadership for multiple Agile teams delivering complex business and technology initiatives.
+ Facilitation of strategic planning sessions, roadmap discussions, prioritization workshops, and Objective & Key Result (OKR) activities.
+ Agile delivery reporting, metrics, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Agile project and program management tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, Miro, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
+ Managing dependencies across teams and supporting large-scale Agile delivery frameworks. Preferred Qualifications
+ Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), or related Agile certifications.
+ Experience supporting large enterprise organizations undergoing digital transformation.
+ Background in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, insurance, or related sectors.
+ Project or Program Management experience.
+ Familiarity with enterprise asset, endpoint, or device lifecycle management processes is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
