Job Description:
DDJT's technical networks and infrastructure supports a variety of activities are focused on providing an accessible, Agile, scalable, composable, modular, open systems architecture enabled environment to support joint requirements for training within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in DevSecOps environment.
Required Skills and Expertise:
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps infrastructure. Heavy expertise in configuring, managing, and updating JIRA Boards (Scrum and Kanban), Project Plans, and Reporting. Experience in partnering with Product Owners and Technical Leads to translate customer requirements and high-level business goals into clearly defined requirements. Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement. Experience tracking team performance over time and forecasting trends utilizing KPIs, velocity, and burndown / burnup metrics. Expertise in managing dependencies across multiple cross-functional Scrum teams. Strong project management skills to affect organizational change in fast-paced environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio. Highly Desired Qualifications (PLUS):
Clearance:
Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Domain Experience:
Experience working with the Joint Staff (JS) or COCOMs. Experience leading Scrum teams with a focus on DevSecOps environments. Prior support or understanding of Command and Control (C2) systems such as GCCS-J, TBMCS, JDISS, or MCCIS. DoDD-8140/8570
Certification:
A current DoDD-8140/8570 certification, such as: CompTIA Security+ CE, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (Duties): The Senior Agile Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach responsible for facilitating Agile success and continuous improvement across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with organizational DevSecOps objectives. Tooling and Systems Integration Jira Management & Training:
Provide hands-on training to staff on how to effectively use the Jira tool for issue management, planning, and reporting.
Methodology Enforcement:
Ensure Systems Engineering and Agile methodologies are consistently applied across all engineering areas of the integrated Training Enclave, Including networks, communications, encryption, firewalls, servers, and infrastructure.
Security Integration:
Support JS J7 initiatives focused on integrating Zero Trust requirements as prioritized by government personnel.
System Environment Support:
Support the design, installation, configuration, testing, integration, documentation, troubleshooting, and management of multiple enterprise network services environments, including those with 5 separate security classifications and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) II.
Enterprise Agile Leadership and Coaching SAFe Framework Success:
Own the responsibility for the successful implementation and adoption of the SAFe Agile success throughout the organization, focused on integrating development, security, and operations (DEVSECOPS). •
Agile Establishment:
Establish the overall SAFe Agile framework for the department and provide hands-on training to department personnel on SAFe Agile principles.
Coaching Multiple Teams:
Coach and mentor multiple teams of 10+ persons (Software Engineers, Middleware Administrators, and Testing Engineers) in a fast-paced, highly technical environment, fostering a culture of self-organization and continuous delivery.
Facilitation and Coordination:
Facilitate daily team syncs (scrums), plans, assignments, schedules, and meetings for the program's DevSecOps, Software Engineering, Middleware Sustainment, Patch & Vulnerability Remediation, Network, Firewalls, and Quality Assurance/Regression Testing tasks.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Coordinate plans, assignments, schedules, and meetings with other internal teams (Configuration Management, Database, Infrastructure, and Single-Sign-On), government customers, and external stakeholders.
Backlog Refinement :
Partners with the Product Owner (PO) to ensure the team backlog is refined, prioritized, and aligned with upcoming Planning Interval (PI) features.
Capacity Estimating :
Guides the team to establish realistic velocity and capacity baselines
Content Readiness :
Ensures the team understands the strategic business context and technical vision presented by the
Release Train Engineer and Product Management Finalizing Commitments :
Ensures the team's committed objectives are finalized in Jira/Agile tools and aligned with final business value targets Inspect & Adapt (I&A): Leads the team through retrospectives and root-cause analyses to surface systemic issues to the Release Train Engineer for program-level improvement
