Role:
The Senior Application Programmer is part of a team dedicated to improving the user experience, data integrity, and business processes through the development and maintenance of the NOC Portal and its supporting tools. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to contribute to this effort. This role focuses on the modernization of the NOC Portal - the emphasis is on modern front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript) and Python back-end development. Working knowledge of PHP is needed to maintain and incrementally replace the existing application.

Development Knowledge:
Exposure to a variety of technologies such as multi-tiered web applications, relational and cloud databases, LDAP and directory services, application servers, network infrastructure, and understanding security and dataflow within these components. +
System Development:
Participate in the architecture, configuration, development, deployment, integration, testing, and maintenance of NOC Portal systems. +
Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software. +
System Improvement:
Identify areas for modification in current NOC Portal systems and develop these improvements. +
Code Development:
Write high-quality code to complete features on schedule. +
Operational Evaluation:
Assess the operational practicality of applications. +
System Monitoring:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on supported NOC Portal systems to ensure 24×7 availability. +
SDLC Compliance:
