Job Description
- About this role:
- Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Network Developer for the Secure Network Services Load Balancing team.
- In this role, you will:
- + Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of complex network automation solutions for large-scale network, application delivery, and infrastructure platforms.
+ Develop and maintain automation frameworks, tools, and workflows using technologies such as Python, Ansible, Robot Framework, REST APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
+ Build, enhance, and support automated provisioning, configuration management, compliance validation, and operational workflows across network and application delivery environments.
+ Design and create reusable automation components, playbooks, scripts, testing frameworks, and self-service solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
+ Develop and maintain integrations between network infrastructure, source control systems, IT service management platforms, orchestration tools, and enterprise automation platforms.
+ Create diagnostic, validation, simulation, and testing tools to proactively identify issues, validate changes, and improve platform reliability.
+ Research performance trends, operational metrics, and system health data to identify automation opportunities and recommend process improvements.
+ Lead the automation of system upgrades, migrations, deployments, compliance checks, and lifecycle management activities while ensuring minimal service disruption.
+ Design and implement secure automation solutions that align with enterprise security standards, regulatory requirements, and audit controls.
+ Assess operational and security risks associated with automation initiatives and ensure quality, resiliency, and compliance requirements are met before deployment to production environments.
+ Identify gaps in existing operational processes and develop automated solutions to improve reliability, scalability, consistency, and service delivery.
+ Collaborate with network engineers, software developers, product teams, security partners, and infrastructure teams to deliver innovative automation capabilities and achieve strategic objectives.
+ Serve as a technical leader and mentor for automation best practices, code quality standards, source control management, testing methodologies, and DevOps/GitOps adoption.
- Required Qualifications:
- + 5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 5+ years of Network Automation or Infrastructure Engineering + 3+ years of experience developing automation solutions using Python, Ansible, Robot Framework, or similar automation technologies.
+ 3+ years of experience with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, Git, source control management, and CI/CD pipelines. + 3+ years of experience automating network, security, application delivery, or infrastructure platforms.
- Desired Qualifications:
- + Experience with
F5 BIG-IP, F5 GTM/DNS, NSX
Advanced Load Balancer (AVI), NGINX, or other Application Delivery Controller (ADC) platforms.
+ Experience with GitOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or enterprise orchestration platforms.
+ Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, automated testing, and software development lifecycle practices.
+ Experience troubleshooting complex network and automation workflows in production environments.
+ Strong understanding of security, compliance, change management, and operational resiliency principles.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills.
+ Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, observability, and logging tools.
+ Experience developing automated validation, testing, and compliance frameworks.
+ Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
+ Experience building self-service infrastructure and network automation solutions at enterprise scale.

- Pay Range
- Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $119,000.00 - $206,000.00
