Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining low-level hardware communication software, debugging C/C++ applications, and supporting hardware-integrated software systems. Job Requirements Proficiency in C and C++. Experience developing low-level hardware communication software for devices such as cameras, sensors, and linear stages. Experience analyzing and maintaining existing software applications. Experience debugging software and resolving programming defects. Experience using Git for version control. Strong knowledge of Linux and command-line interfaces. Experience with hardware integration and device-level communication. U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Ability to travel up to 10% for system deployment or technical support. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Mid-level software engineering experience; senior-level candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience may also be considered. Experience with FPGA-based systems. Experience with GPU computing and CUDA. Experience with high-speed control systems. Experience with computer vision. Experience with image processing. Experience with digital signal processing. Experience with scripting languages such as Julia. Experience integrating hardware from camera, sensor, imaging, or defense-system manufacturers. Advanced mathematics experience applicable to software, imaging, control, or signal-processing systems. Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain low-level communication software for cameras, sensors, linear stages, and related hardware. Analyze, maintain, and enhance existing software applications. Develop new software modules according to technical and schedule requirements. Support maturation of existing and new software products and codebases. Identify, troubleshoot, and correct software defects. Develop and maintain C and C++ software in Linux environments. Integrate software with hardware devices and control systems. Use Git for source control and software configuration management. Support FPGA, GPU, CUDA, imaging, or signal-processing functionality as applicable. Develop technical documentation, including design documentation and operational specifications. Prepare technical project briefings and software documentation. Support system deployment and technical customer engagements as required.
