This role will work closely with engineering leadership to mentor the software team, improve development processes, and define system-level architecture for next-generation precision technology products. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys coding, mentoring, and driving technical strategy , with a strong ability to bridge hardware and software development.

Key Responsibilities Lead software engineering projects and mentor engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment. Develop and improve software development, testing, release, and deployment processes for embedded systems. Partner with Engineering and Product teams to define software architecture and requirements. Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software for prototype and production systems. Develop software for systems involving microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and user interfaces . Perform software reviews, requirements analysis, risk assessments, and reliability analysis. Develop and implement software testing and quality assurance practices. Participate in cross-functional teams supporting new product development and product launches. Create software specifications, proof-of-concepts, technical documentation, and project reports. Mentor engineers on coding standards, testing, documentation, and software development best practices. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in embedded software and systems development. 2+ years of experience leading technical projects or engineering teams. Strong experience with C/C++ programming ; assembly experience is a plus. Experience programming PIC and ARM microcontrollers . Strong understanding of SPI, I2C, RS232, USB, and TCP/IP communication protocols. Experience with RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS or embedded Linux . Strong understanding of microcontrollers, digital control/feedback systems, and user interfaces. Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies; Scrum Master experience is a plus. Experience with hardware/software debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with IoT, Industry 4.0, or IPC CFX is a plus. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Pay:
$145,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
