Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesLead large-scale engineering projects from inception to completion, driving high-quality executionDesign and implement scalable, distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and securityOversee and optimize cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent), and data transformation pipelinesContribute to platform-wide architectural decisions and shape long-term engineering strategyDeliver major system enhancementse.g., platform-wide performance upgradeswithin defined timelines (23 months)Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; establish best practices in design, testing, and code qualityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define priorities and technical direction for key initiativesUnblock and support internal partners while improving systems that reduce tech debt and enhance deliveryExperience5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and systems designProven experience delivering and scaling large infrastructure or distributed systems projectsExpertise in Kubernetes and container technologies (e.g., Docker, cri-o)Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP; familiarity with Google Cloud Console and Cloud Functions is a plusProficiency with our core stack: Go, Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, Vue 3, Hapi, SQL (BigQuery preferred)Demonstrated ability to mentor and support technical growth within engineering teamsExperience leading incident response and ensuring service reliability in high-stakes environments
