Job Title:

Senior Software Engineer - Omni Commerce Platform

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with 7-10 years of experience building scalable, cloud-native e-commerce platforms and distributed backend systems. This role will focus on designing and developing the next generation of Omni Commerce capabilities, including Order Management Systems (OMS), Returns Management, Marketplace & Social Commerce integrations, Payment Reconciliation, Customer Service platforms, and enterprise data pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps practices, with experience building highly available, resilient, and scalable commerce solutions.

Project Objective

Build and scale core omni-commerce capabilities by developing cloud-native microservices and enterprise integrations that support Order Management, Returns Processing, Marketplace & Social Commerce, Payment Reconciliation, Customer Service, and Product Feed Management, enabling seamless customer experiences across multiple digital commerce channels.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices supporting omni-commerce platforms.

Build highly available backend services for Order Management (OMS), Returns, Customer Service, and Payment Reconciliation.

Develop event-driven, distributed systems using messaging technologies and asynchronous communication patterns.

Design and implement RESTful APIs and canonical data models for enterprise integrations.

Develop and optimize high-volume data pipelines, transformation processes, and aggregation services.

Integrate marketplace and product feed platforms including ProductsUp, Lengow, Feedonomics, and other commerce ecosystems.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using modern DevOps tools.

Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability across cloud environments.

Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and Agile ceremonies.

Required Qualifications

7-10 years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.

Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.

Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Returns Management.

Experience developing RESTful APIs and enterprise integration services.

Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, etc.), and distributed systems.

Experience with Canonical Data Modeling and system-to-system integrations.

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure.

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices.

Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud automation.

Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Marketplace Commerce and Social Commerce integrations.

Experience with ProductsUp, Lengow, Feedonomics, or similar product feed management platforms.

Knowledge of payment reconciliation and financial transaction workflows.

Experience building customer service platforms and commerce support tools.

Exposure to Node.js, .js, JavaScript, and SharePoint APIs.

Experience with cloud-native monitoring, observability, and production support.
