Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and field operations support industry, is seeking a Software Architect to join their dynamic team. As a Software Architect, you will be part of the Technology Development department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

  • This position offers flexibility for remote work, with a preference for candidates located in Denver, CO; Charlotte, NC; or St. Louis, MO.
  • Pay Range:
  • $68-74/hour, based on experience
  • What's the Job?
  • + Define and execute the technical strategy for back-office applications supporting field operations.

+ Lead modernization efforts of legacy systems (.NET, SQL Server) to align with future-state technology directions (Java, microservices, cloud).

+ Partner with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, QA, and infrastructure to scope, design, and deliver impactful features.

+ Coordinate engineering resources across the full delivery lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

+ Establish and enforce standards for application performance, code quality, and operational reliability, ensuring best practices are followed.

  • What's Needed?
  • + At least 15 years of relevant experience, with recent experience in architecture roles.

+ Proficiency in Java (Versions 21/22, open JDK) and microservices architecture using Spring Boot framework.

+ Experience with Kafka and AWS Cloud services such as EKS, EC2, SQS, Lambda, and serverless architectures.

+ Hands-on experience deploying and managing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab.

+ Familiarity with APM tools like AppDynamics, Datadog, and Splunk, and openness to integrating AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, and Kiro into development workflows.
