Job Type:
Full-time Job Overview We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer based in or open to relocating to Connecticut (CT) to join our technical team. In this role, you will contribute to building, maintaining, and enhancing software applications while working closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities Software Development:
Develop clean, maintainable code in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
Feature Maintenance & Bug Fixing:
Troubleshoot software defects, resolve technical issues, and implement performance improvements.
API & Database Integration:
Assist in designing RESTful APIs and connecting software applications to relational or NoSQL databases.
Code Quality & Testing:
Participate in peer code reviews, write unit tests, and support quality assurance efforts.
Team Collaboration:
Work in an Agile environment alongside product managers, designers, and senior engineers.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience / coding bootcamp training).
Experience:
0-3 years of hands-on software development experience (internships, academic projects, or professional roles).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in at least one core language: Java, Python, C#, C++, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Basic understanding of relational databases (SQL) or NoSQL systems. Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Core Competencies:
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and effective communication. Preferred /
Nice-to-Have:
Exposure to cloud concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Node.js, Spring Boot, or Django). Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts or containerization (Docker).
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$60,000 - $120,000 / year (commensurate with experience level)
