About Our Client Our client is a nationally recognized, privately held real estate developer, general contractor, and Owner's Project Management (OPM) firm with over 30 years of experience specializing in the multifamily sector-their core focus and area of deep expertise. While headquartered in Maryland, the firm is actively expanding into new regions, including Texas and New England. Their Connecticut construction team is in a pivotal, growth-oriented phase-building a local footprint with the support of a tight-knit, family-oriented group. This smaller regional team offers a collaborative culture where camaraderie, work-life balance, and a people-first approach remain central to operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-capitalized, vertically integrated leader in multifamily development during its New England expansion. Job Description The Superintendent will be responsible for: Oversee and manage all daily onsite construction activities for ground-up multifamily projects. Lead and coordinate subcontractor teams to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards. Ensure projects meet schedule milestones and are delivered in alignment with budget and design intent. Implement and enforce jobsite safety plans, conducting regular inspections to ensure OSHA compliance. Drive site logistics, including delivery coordination, manpower allocation, and sequencing of construction activities. Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation using Procore and other project management tools. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Design Consultants, Ownership, and Inspection Authorities to resolve field-related challenges. Conduct regular quality assurance walkthroughs and proactively address any issues impacting workmanship or materials. The Successful Applicant The successful Superintendent will have: 7-10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or lead field manager on ground-up multifamily projects. Strong understanding of building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations applicable to multifamily construction. Proficiency in project management and scheduling software such as Procore and Primavera P6 (preferred). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades, resolve onsite conflicts, and lead complex building operations independently. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
