Hybrid 4 days onsite in Lake Mary, FL Our client is a global investments company that provides informed investment management and investment services across the financial lifecycle. The organization supports institutions, corporations, and individual investors worldwide with clearing and custody, technology, enterprise data management, and trading services. The team values reliable engineering practices, scalable systems, and strong data discipline. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate:
$70.00 to $85.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code across front-end and back-end layers. Execute full lifecycle software development including requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Design, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas for OLTP and OLAP workloads. Write high-quality SQL and procedural code including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and reusable data access components. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices with clean data contracts and reliable integrations. Develop modern front-end components using frameworks such as Angular or React with attention to accessibility and performance. Conduct code and design reviews for application and database components focusing on performance, security, and maintainability. Create flowcharts, ER models, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation. Apply security and privacy principles including secure coding, RBAC, encryption, input validation, auditing, and least privilege. Analyze, design, and develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and implement test automation for APIs, UIs, and database code. Develop verification plans, quality assurance procedures, and data validation and reconciliation checks. Participate in deployments following change controls and manage schema migrations, release automation, and rollback strategies. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems across the stack to ensure reliability, scalability, and completeness. Monitor and tune performance through query plans, indexing, partitioning, application profiling, caching, and CDN strategies. Recommend improvements for architecture, data models, code quality, and operational resilience. Demonstrate teamwork, promote component reuse, mentor peers on best practices, and contribute to internal standards. Experience Requirements 7+ years of full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, REST, JavaScript or TypeScript, or Angular Expert-level database experience with major RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL and familiarity with NoSQL such as MongoDB. Advanced SQL and procedural extensions such as PL/SQL or T-SQL including complex query optimization, window functions, and CTEs. Strong data modeling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers with normalization and denormalization for OLTP and OLAP. Experience building and maintaining ETL or ELT pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or dbt and orchestration with Airflow. Knowledge of application frameworks, microservices, and containerization and cloud patterns including Docker and Kubernetes. Ability to review test plans and test data with hands-on CI/CD, automated testing, and migration tooling such as Liquibase. Understanding of cross-platform interoperability including JDBC or ODBC, APIs, NT or intranet, and multiple toolkits. Strong grasp of security and privacy controls across the stack including secure coding, encryption, masking, auditing, and compliance fundamentals. Effective teamwork, communication, and organization with the ability to collaborate in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. Experience in the securities or financial services industry (preferred). Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
