Job Description

The Application Engineer, Wide Format & Experience Center is a hands-on technical and customer-facing role based full-time at the Sarasota Experience Center. This person helps customers, prospects, sales teams, and internal stakeholders understand and successfully use S-One's wide-format printing technologies, media, and related applications — combining print expertise, live demonstrations, training, media testing, and technical sales support into one role. Responsibilities Ask questions to understand a customer's workflow, production requirements, and intended applications before recommending or demonstrating a solution Build demonstrations and produce print samples around actual customer use cases rather than simply showing equipment functionality Evaluate new substrates and media for print quality, adhesion, color performance, durability, and overall application suitability Guide customers through troubleshooting steps clearly and professionally, and know when to escalate to Field Service or an OEM technical resource Assist Sales with customer-specific testing, sample production, and application validation during the sales process 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in wide-format digital printing, sign and graphics production, digital print applications, technical support, or a comparable environment Practical knowledge of wide-format printer operation, production workflows, and how printer technology, ink, media, profiles, and RIP settings affect finished print performance Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability, and comfort operating, testing, and learning multiple brands and types of printing equipment Strong customer-service orientation and a genuine interest in working directly with customers, including conducting confident demonstrations for both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Field Service, and Marketing
