[ Summary ] Under the general supervision of the Manager, Customization & Modification Engineer, the position works with sales to provide technical guidance and review of new molding machine configurations (BTO and Stock) in order to facilitate timely and accurate quote processing to meet customer application requirements. [ Essential Duties ] Provides in-house technical guidance to support injection molding machine quote processing. Works with sales and customers to understand the application needs in order to define the appropriate machine configuration and related equipment needs. Works with the Technical Projects Liaison/Coordinator in order to collaborate with the factory technical personnel in Germany and /or Japan to establish technical solutions to customer-requested special options. Obtains and provides cost and pricing information to support accurate new machine quote processing. Works with our internal modification team to support in-house stock-machine modification requirements and processes prior to machine delivery. Provides inside sales with analysis to assist in establishing future stock-machine order configurations. Provides RFQ feasibility analysis and prioritization as well as technical guidance in order to streamline the quotation process for Machine Sales. Responsible for leading activities to update policies, procedures and related documentation for Machine Sales and Engineering. ​​​​​​​[ Qualifications ​​​​​​​] Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering degree (4 year) or equivalent. General understanding and/or certification in hydraulics and electronics with 2 years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic functionality. Additional training in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, or equivalent experience Experience in the Injection Molding Machine industry is preferred

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
