Role Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to other applications engineers, sales force and customers.
- Communicate with the customers in a professional, effective and timely manner.
- Provide feasibility evaluations and reports, quotes and other necessary information to meet customers' expectations.
- Create and maintain documentation necessary for product development and manufacturing that conforms to ISO standards and TQM practices.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Communicate effectively to Manager regarding the progress on scheduled projects, progress on achieving goals, and the results of any research conducted.
- Work and communicate effectively with other groups within the engineering department, division and corporation (as well as with outside suppliers) in a positive manner to achieve timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Test and de-bug final tools prior to run-off with customers.
- Travel to customers' facilities to assist in product design.
- Assist in post-sales start up at customers' facilities.
- Prevent and resolve customer problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
- Ideally relevant internship, co-op or hands-on engineering experience
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Ability to work through testing, troubleshooting and debugging of equipment, tooling and parts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining timelines and communicating progress
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and external suppliers.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally to customer facilities
- Self-motivated individual who is willing to learn, ask questions and take ownership of assigned projects
