In this role, you will act as the vital link between our hardware engineering teams, software development groups, and product management partners, ensuring that all microcontrollers, board support packages, and firmware systems are engineered with maximum efficiency, scalability, and adherence to strict safety and security standards.
Core Responsibilities Firmware & Software Development:
Design, write, test, and maintain low-level C/C++ code for microcontrollers, microprocessors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Hardware-Software Integration:
Board bring-up, debugging hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet), and working closely with hardware engineers to validate PCB designs.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Perform system-level validation, static analysis, unit testing, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation to ensure high reliability.
Risk & Performance Optimization:
Monitor execution bottlenecks, memory constraints, and power consumption; optimize system performance for resource-constrained environments.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry-specific safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or medical/aerospace standards where applicable) and maintain thorough technical documentation.
Technical Liaison:
